Avoid Med Draw Dangers
Medicine draws can be tricky. Foreign matter and particulates can easily be passed on to patients without careful consideration for the task at hand.
Avoid these accidental dangers with a Sterile Filter Straw, which filters medication drawn from ampules. It also helps improve compliance with USP <797> references that state any medication stored in an ampule must be used immediately after opening and passing through a sterile particulate filter.
The flexible, easy-to-use straw connects to a luer lock syringe. As medicine is drawn up, it passes through a 5-micron particulate filter. The straw is 1-3/4” to help reach medication in the bottom of the ampule and minimize waste. And because it is needle free, it reduces the risk of accidental needle sticks.
