goHCLabels Celebrates Growth with 4.5 Million Monthly Prints, 16,000+ Active Users
On January 15, 2014, Health Care Logistics® (HCL®) launched goHCLabels® with a clear mission: make unit dose label printing easier, smarter and faster for pharmacies of all sizes. Eleven years later, the results speak for themselves — more than 4.5 million label prints each month and 16,374 active users so far in 2025.
But those numbers only tell part of the story.
The recent surge in growth is thanks to the EZ Grid® System, a game-changing addition to our unit dose packaging line that reimagines how users interact with our blister and label formats. Combined with regular improvements to our website — like auto-shrink fields and a final check feature for packaged approval — goHCLabels is evolving faster than ever.
“Every person in the company has impacted the product by truly listening to our customers,” said Scott Harmon, Unit Dose Product Specialist. “That feedback directly shaped the EZ Grid System and continues to drive every improvement we make to the goHCLabels website.”
Our success is rooted in that approach: listen first, build second. From compounding pharmacies and large health systems to outpatient clinics, correctional facilities and nursing homes, our users span every corner of healthcare. And their needs shape everything we do.
Convenience and speed are among the key benefits of goHCLabels at the University of Tennessee Medical Center, according to Regulatory Coordinator Kathy Blankenship, CPhT.
“Implementing goHCLabels was one of the easiest upgrades for a new labeling system,” she said. “Product support creation of new label template designs is phenomenal and quick. There is no need to learn how to build label templates on a new system. They do it for you!”
It’s that type of feedback that reinforces the need for this free, web-based system, according to Stephen Stock, Technology Product Manager.
“We’ve built what we believe is the industry standard for user-friendly unit dose labeling software,” he said. “We’re proud of what we’ve accomplished and even more excited about what’s ahead.”
