Military Fund Provides VA Tech Upgrades

The new Freedom’s Way rehabilitation unit at the Chillicothe VA Medical Center opened yesterday, complete with equipment upgrades provided by the Health Care Logistics® military fund. Our Technology Services team made sure of it.

“(We) would like to take this opportunity to thank Ken Warner (Voice and Data Manager, HCL® Technology Services) and Health Care Logistics for their generous donation of two computers for the new rehabilitation unit,” said Jamie Russell (pictured), Chief of Voluntary Service at the VA Center for Development & Civic Engagement. “This donation will be utilized by veterans to stay in communication with family while doing their rehab with our amazing therapy staff.”

Kurt Wolf, VP, HCL® Technology Services, learned of the need through a personal contact then set a plan in motion.

“This matches with everything HCL® does to support our veterans,” Wolf said. “This just seemed like a nice, quick thing HCL® can do to have an impact in our community.”

Our military program, Support the Troops, is 100 percent employee funded through silent auctions, equipment sales and miscellaneous donations.

Anyone who would like to donate to the new VA rehabilitation unit can call 740-773-1141 extension 17420 for details.
