Stock Up Now to Avoid Potential Delays in November
Ongoing evaluation of pharmacy personnel is critical to the quality of your compounded sterile products (CSPs) and, ultimately, patient safety. And it’s one reason the US Pharmacopeia (USP) revised its sterile compounding standards. If your team isn’t in compliance with updated media fill testing requirements by Nov. 1, the success of your pharmacy could be in jeopardy.
Steer clear of compliance failures when you stock up on media fill test components to meet more frequent testing demands. In addition to several other revised personnel requirements, those who compound category 1 and 2 CSPs will now have to complete media fill testing every six months and every three months for category 3 CSPs. Supportive roles that oversee compounding staff but do not compound will have to demonstrate competency every 12 months.
Choose the components that most closely represent your most complex procedure for the preparation of CSPs as required by USP <797>. Our inventory includes Empty Serum Vials, Red Dyed TSB Ampules, TSB Needle Port Septum Vials and TSB IV Bags for lifelike simulation and reliable results. A la carte convenience allows you to choose only the items you need. If you prefer bundle convenience instead, shop our line of Media Test Kits.
Bulk up your inventory now to avoid potential delays closer to the November deadline. With adequate supplies on hand, you’ll be able to test employees at more frequent intervals and document outcomes for uninterrupted success.
