Summer Reading Sponsorship is in the Bag
We’re proud to partner with the Pickaway County Library again this year for its Summer Reading Program — a local favorite for all ages. The community-wide goal is 1 million minutes of reading, and, so far, 623 participants have accepted the challenge.
This year, HCL® donated the custom-printed bags passed out during registration, which remains open through July 31.
Bethany Reid, HCL® President (and pun champion — though not intentional), said the program offers a great opportunity to invest in the community.
“Anything we can do to help the next generation be strong readers and confident leaders is a plus in my book.”
Andrea Green, Community Relations Manager for the library, said business involvement allows organizers to offer meaningful incentives that encourage reader participation.
“Local sponsors make it possible for us to provide fun, educational programming during summer reading, as well as give away lots of amazing prizes. We believe reading is a reward in and of itself, but we also love that extra bit of motivation to read for a chance to win prizes, especially amongst our youngest patrons.”
Thank you to everyone who pitched in to make this program possible. It takes a village to raise readers — and we’re proud to be part of this one!
